Overall, Goodyear says it will show how it can maximise fleets’ efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability at the trade fair for haulage and urban transport professionals.
Goodyear’s presence at Solutrans is representing company’s commitment to providing solutions to the current challenges faced by transportation companies. Expert team on-site, equipped with high-tech fleet mobility solutions and mobile applications, along with their in-depth industry knowledge, will be on hand to interact with visitors, dedicating time to address the unique requirements of each transportation company. This tour has taken Goodyear to various European countries and has seen the company participate in several logistics-focused exhibitions, as well as the Goodyear FIA ETRC events where Goodyear Total Mobility was showcased to industry stakeholders,” adds Szymański.
Promoting sustainability in commercial fleets
Goodyear’s exhibition integrates its components with the recently unveiled findings of the 2023 edition of Sustainable Reality Survey. In this survey, over 1,600 European fleets provided insights into their perspectives on sustainability, their approach to implementing eco-friendly solutions within their fleets, and their concerns regarding regulatory challenges. They also highlighted the most popular actions they take to reduce their environmental footprint and support CO2 reductions across their fleets. For the majority of these fleets (56 per cent), the use of fuel-efficient tyres is an important element in their sustainable fleet management. This trend is particularly pronounced among megafleets (those with over 500 vehicles), where 70 per cent rely on fuel-efficient tyres to help them meet their sustainability objectives.
Goodyear will reserve a special zone to highlight the benefits of the Goodyear Retreading solution and exhibit its 63 per cent sustainable-material demonstration truck tyre, initially unveiled in 2022 at the IAA Transportation event. The company says these components exemplify the company’s dedication to promoting sustainability in the context of commercial fleets.
Goodyear also invites Solutrans 2023 attendees to participate in panel discussions to explore the challenges and solutions facing modern transport companies. These discussions will highlight the transformative impact of Goodyear Total Mobility offerings on competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. The conference will take place on 23 November at 15:00 in Hall 3.
