Wheel balancing is important for both cars and trucks as true running wheels vibrate and wear less and provide a more comfortable driving experience. How does balancing compound work?

Pour the balancing compound into the tyre prior to mounting, and it will distribute itself evenly when the vehicle is in motion. Should any imbalance exist, centrifugal force will grow in the heaviest area of the tyre as the vehicle increases speed, resulting in wheel wobble and/or bouncing.

The balancing compound automatically settles opposite this heavy area and thus compensates for the imbalance. Thanks to the flexible positioning of the balancing compound, users can always achieve an optimum balance without any further effort, even if the imbalance changes. No need for rebalancing.

Safe for TPMS and butyl liners: Hofmann Power Weight has extensively tested the specially coated powder and confirms it has no adverse effects on TPMS sensors or the inside of tyres. The valve insert and the marked valve cap prevent compound particles from entering and additionally serve as an identifier for tyres that have been balanced with the compound.

Balancing compound product range

Balancing compound comes in two variants. The standard solution type 504 for static balance optimisation is available as loose powder in buckets and cartons. The premium variant type 505 with Fusion Technology arrives individually packed in bags of various sizes and compensates for both static and dynamic imbalance. Hofmann Power Weight says this enables the achievement of an optimum balancing result.
