Bridgestone helps serve food to 1000 in UAE
Bridgestone is collaborating with Goumbook and the UAE Food Bank as part of its ongoing CSR efforts. The initiative involved Bridgestone’s UAE-based employees and their families working together to prepare meals for 1,000 beneficiaries. According to the company, the initiative “elicited positive responses from the community…”
As part of the initiative, Bridgestone saved 933 kilograms of fruit and vegetables from landfill, significantly lowering food waste and fostering environmental sustainability. The initiative also reduced 933 kts of CO2 emissions, or about 157 days’ worth of typical household electricity use. Most importantly, 925 kgs of fresh meals were served, offering vital nourishment to those in need, while also enhancing the welfare of the community. Additionally, Bridgestone recycled 29 kgs of paper and cardboard, demonstrating its support for responsible waste management and recycling.
