Andreas Güntner heading wheel maker Borbet Thüringen
As announced during 20th-anniversary celebrations in August, Dr Andreas Güntner has taken over the management of Borbet Thüringen GmbH, the Borbet subsidiary responsible for operating the company’s Bad Langensalza plant. Güntner brings a quarter-century of experience with leading OEM suppliers and knowledge of the wheel business to his new role.
“We are convinced that Dr Güntner will continue the success story of Borbet Thüringen GmbH with his expertise and provide new impetus,” says Margot Borbet, managing director and chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Borbet GmbH.
The wheel manufacturer describes its Borbet Thüringen operations as “Europe’s largest and most modern production plant for light alloy wheels,” adding that the Bad Langensalza site has “the latest production technologies and an in-house customisation centre.” Amongst other things, this facility focuses on insert solutions that bring together new aesthetics with designs that reduce wheel weight and aerodynamic drag. A further pioneering technology from Borbet Thüringen is pad printing, which guarantees precise and durable customisation options.
