Yokohama renews title sponsorship of Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA West
Yokohama Tire has renewed its partnership with the United States Auto Club (USAC) as the official tyre partner and presenting sponsor of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA for the 2024 season. The renewal means next year’s challenge will be the fourth consecutive season with competitors using Yokohama rubber. Yokohama will supply its Advan A005 racing slicks and Advan A006 rain tyres. The North America series visits seven tracks for its 14 rounds, while the USA West schedule features 12 rounds at six different tracks.
“Looking forward to starting another exciting season of highly competitive racing with USAC,” said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama Tire’s vice president of marketing & product management. “The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA West by Yokohama have been a major success. We’re excited and honoured to continue this thriving partnership and have our Advan race tyres once again play a major part of the action.”
“We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our partnership with Yokohama, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USA West programs,” said USAC President Kevin Miller. “Our one-make championships have experienced significant growth over the past three years, largely due to the strong partnership between Yokohama and USAC and our joint focus on providing a competitive racing series and value to our customers.”
Yokohama has completed an extensive list of North American-based motorsports activities on- and off-road in 2023. These include the Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy by Yokohama, Global Time Attack and Super Lap Battle USA, Nitro Rallycross, NASA, SCORE, King of the Hammers, Crandon International Raceway sponsorship, 24 Hours of Lemons, Yokohama NORRA Mexican 1000, Ultra4 National Series, Brenthel Industries partnership, Yokohama Tire Jeepspeed Race Series, TrophyLite Series and the Championship Off-Road Series partnership.
