Renault to distribute Leonard retreaded car tyres
Half a year after producing the first car tyres under the Leonard brand name, Black Star has already entered into several agreements regarding the range’s distribution in France. The retreader, which is 60 per cent owned by automotive aftermarket group Mobivia, is now bringing the first vehicle manufacturer on board.
Renault will offer the retreaded Leonard tyre range through its entire brand network, including Dacia, after obtaining manufacturer distribution exclusivity for a period of nine months. This network is said to consist of 4,900 points of distribution across France.
The agreement with Renault is one of several distribution opportunities opening for Black Star. Mobivia-owned automotive parts and service retailer Norauto already sells Leonard tyres in France, as does Continental-owned retail network BestDrive. French news site actu.fr reports that Bridgestone’s Speedy and Michelin’s Euromaster networks will soon start stocking Leonard retreads, too.
