Hankook Dynapro tyre range offers high performance on and off the road
Hankook has tailored a family of tyres for the expanding 4×4 market with its Dynapro range. The brand covers all-terrain, mud-terrain, and highway applications respectively with the Dynapro AT2, the Dynapro MT2, and the Dynapro HP2.
The Dynapro AT2 RF11 is an on/off-road tyre capable of dealing with a wide range of driving conditions with a 50/50 spilt for on and off-road use. This tyre has the 3PMSF identifier on the sidewall and is suitable for use in winter conditions. This robust all-rounder is equipped with a double-layer carcass and extra reinforced shoulders. A special protective layer under the tread helps prevent or reduce damage in the belt area, which in combination with the high-strength solid steel belt package ensures road holding and extended service life.
The tread pattern of Dynapro AT2 has improved self-cleaning properties so dirt and stones are efficiently ejected. The extra wide contact patch in combination with the compact belt ensures even wear and optimises both braking and handling characteristics. In the wet, the high dispersion silica tread compound ensures water displacement is optimised and the new traction tread pattern of Dynapro AT2 ensures shorter braking compared to its predecessor. The Dynapro AT2 features stepped block edge technology, and a staggered tread pattern which significantly reduces rolling noise.
The Dynapro AT2 is currently available in 36 different sizes in this category from 15 to 20 inches.
The Dynapro MT2 is designed primarily for off-road enthusiasts with a 20/80 spilt for on-road vs off-road use. The tyre has the POR (Professional Off-Road) identifier and M+S marking on the sidewall. 3D simulation software has been used to develop the Dynapro MT2’s Terrain Strike Tread Design and new split mould technology makes the tyre even more robust than its predecessor, the Dynapro MT.
The tyre’s V-shaped shoulder blocks interlock perfectly with the terrain for high traction under extreme conditions and self-cleaning cross grooves, with integrated stone ejectors, help to keep the tread of debris and protect against stone drilling and puncturing. The wraparound tread and new Sidewall Protection Shields provide extra biting edges and the seamless high-performance bead wire helps to keep the tyre securely on the rim even when driving on difficult terrain with lower tyre pressures. The natural rubber content in the tyre increases the elasticity of the rubber compound and offers maximum grip. The combination of tread design and tread compound also reduces the rolling noise.
The Dynapro MT2 is currently available in 11 different sizes in this category from 15 to 20 inches.
For the road exclusively, the Dynapro HP2 is a high performance on-road tyre for luxury SUVs. The tyre meets the increased requirements for rolling resistance and rolling noise applicable to the SUV segment. The high loading silica compound used in the development of the tyre ensures an excellent performance on both wet and dry surfaces, as well as reducing rolling resistance. Its tread pattern consists of a four-channel waterway to reduce the risk of aquaplaning by dispersing surface water from the vehicles path, quickly and effectively, all without losing any comfort value.
The Hankook Dynapro HP2 is currently available in 31 different sizes in this category from 15 to 20 inches.
