Fire breaks out at Xintu Tyre’s warehouse
On 6 October, fire broke out at Xintu Tyre in Guangrao County, Dongying City, Shandong Province. Tyrepress China learned that the location of the fire was in the warehouse in the company’s finished product testing area, and the fire area of the warehouse was about 600 square metres. A person familiar with the matter revealed that the tyre company stored many tyres in the warehouse where the fire broke out.
On the same day, a situation report issued by the local government showed that “there were no casualties, and no one was trapped”. At present, Xintu Tyre has not announced the cause and loss of the fire.
The predecessor of Xintu Tyre was Ogreen. After Ogreen went bankrupt, Wuchan Zhongda Group took over the factory and used it as a manufacturing base for its sub-section Tercelo Tire Group. An industry insider told Tyrepress China that Xintu Tyre mainly produces all-steel radial tyres, with an annual production capacity of approximately 1.8 million sets.
Data show that Tercelo Tire Group has four manufacturing bases with the production capacity to produce 5 million sets of all-steel radial tyres, 15 million sets of semi-steel radial tyres and 50,000 sets of special tyres. The tyre brands produced by the company include Tercelo, Trasmate, Hawk, Yingba, Three-A, and Rapid.
