EV compatible – Straightset introduces SDX35 EV two-post lift
Straightset is offering the new Space SDX35 EV, a two-post electromechanical lift developed for a wide range of vehicles, including electric cars, Introducing the baseless two-post lift, Straightset says a key feature is the unit’s “innovative low-profile rotating final stage arms,” which it credits with providing a considerable amount of flexibility.
The arms require less space, permitting obstacle-free underbody work, even on vehicle parts such as wheels, brakes and suspension. This extends the lift’s suitability to a wide range of vehicles including BEVs and low spoiler cars; indeed, Straightset notes that the arms’ range of movement allows for direct access to electric vehicles’ battery packs for simplified removal operations.
In addition to this particular design feature, the 3.5 tonne lift also includes the features of the Legend Series:
- New design and aesthetics to optimise space usage
- Symmetric post section to improve the drive-through and the overall footprint in the workshop
- Long-lasting, quality components and materials including new longer nuts, new premium bearings and new high-resistance aluminium pulleys
- New motor protection and cooling system and new thermal treatment on screws for reduced vibration.
“The SDX35 EV is a great universal solution for those wanting to futureproof their garages as well as maintain high standards of health and safety for those operating,” states Straightset. The lift is suitable for cars and light commercial vehicles with a lifting height of 2,015mm.
