Agritechnica launch for Nokian Tyres tractor, flotation tyres with Flexforce VF technology
Flexforce VF is a new technology from Nokian Tyres, and don’t worry if you haven’t heard of it yet. The tyre maker is about to bring this technology to market and intends to debut two tyres featuring Flexforce VF at the Agritechnica show in November.
Nokian Tyres promises “more efficient agricultural work” through Flexforce VF thanks to its creation of an “XXL-sized” ground contact and reduced loss of power. The first tractor tyre utilising this technology is Nokian Tyres Soil King VF, a tyre the manufacturer reports has “already proven to be ahead of competition in third-party tests.” A new flotation tyre for high-capacity tankers and trailers, Nokian Tyres Float King VF, also joins the Flexforce VF range. The tyre maker says this has “proven exceptional efficiency with flotation and grip in challenging soil conditions.”
“The Flexforce VF technology brings the advanced design and premium features that the farmers have been asking for to agricultural tyres,” comments Tero Saari, product manager at Nokian Tyres.
The German Agricultural Society (DLG) tested Soil King VF against other premium agricultural tyres. According to Nokian Tyres, the DLG found its product delivered “best-in-class performance in field and transport work” with lower wheel slip and fuel consumption as well as a larger treated area per hour.
“The results are clear,” says Saari. “Nokian Tyres VF tyres save fuel and increase working efficiency. It is great to go public with cutting-edge tyre technology that makes the difference where it matters most: in the daily work of farmers.”
Indoor farming
Agritechnica takes place in Hannover, Germany between 12 and 18 November, and Nokian Tyres has built a hybrid show booth that “gets you as close to the real-life experience of farming work as you can get in an exhibition hall.” It promises “a lot more to experience” than just the new Flexforce VF tyres. Visitors can find Nokian Tyres in Hall 20, at Stand 20B12.
