Yokohama’s Magokoro Fund donates ¥1 million to Hawaii relief efforts
Yokohama Rubber’s Yokohama Magokoro Fund is getting involved in relief efforts after the wildfires in Hawaii, USA. Specifically, the employee-backed Yokohama Magokoro Fund will donate a combined ¥1 million (¥500,000 each from the company and the fund) through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in the affected region.
“All of us at Yokohama Rubber would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to all those who have been affected by the wildfires in Hawaii…”, the company wrote in an official statement dated 1 September 2023, adding:
“All of us at here at Yokohama Rubber pray that the people in the affected areas will be able to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.”
