Yokohama Advan-liveried car finishes 1st in Round 8 of the 2023 Nürburgring Endurance Series
Walkenhorst Motorsport’s Advan-liveried #34 BMW M4 GT3 running on Yokohama’s Advan A005 (dry) and A006 (wet) tyres claimed first place in Round 8 of the 2023 Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) on 23 September. Driven by Christian Krognes and Jakub Giermaziak, the team qualified fifth and took the lead around the race’s midpoint, widening the gap with the rest of the field before taking the checkered flag more than two minutes ahead of the second-place car.
Yokohama is supplying Advan racing tires to BMW M4 GT3 cars competing in the NLS highest SP9 Pro class as part of its Advan Challenge, which seeks to maximise sales of the brand in its 45th year. The Round 8 winner has now been victorious in five of the season’s first eight races, which Yokohama says will strengthen the impression of Advan brand tyres and their performance.
The NLS is an endurance race series run on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, widely considered the world’s most demanding course. Some 170 cars are competing in this year’s nine NLS races held from March to October. Motorsport is an important pillar in Yokohama’s strategic plan to increase sales of high-value-added products, such as its Advan range. It is participating in series at all levels of motorsport around the world in order to support this growth.
