The 18th CITExpo officially opens in Shanghai
On 4 September the 18th China International Tire Expo (CITExpo) officially opened in Shanghai. Tyrepress China was present and found that many well-known tyre companies, including ZC Rubber, Sailun, Prinx Chengshan, Guizhou Tyre, Doublestar, and Jiangsu General have all made appearances at this exhibition and brought their flagship products.
It is particularly noteworthy that UK-based Davanti has begun to exhibit at trade shows in China. In addition, hub companies such as Yueling, as well as warranty equipment companies and automotive modification equipment firms also made appearances at the show.
The focus on foreign trade and foreign merchants remains a highlight of CITExpo, with many tyre companies only displaying their English names at exhibitions.
Meanwhile, Tyrepress China noticed that many tyre companies have showcased their innovations and OTR products at this exhibition. For example, Guizhou Tyre unveiled its giant OTR tyres, and Sailun showcased so-called liquid gold-based products.
The export managers of multiple tyre companies stated that the first CITExpo after COVID-19 has shown them hope for the recovery of China’s tyre industry. Compared to other exhibitions in the Asian region, many participating companies reportedly gained more at CITExpo 2023.
Zhang Hui, director of the First Marketing Department of Wanda Boto, stated that the results of the first day of the exhibition exceeded expectations. He told Tyrepress China that Wanda Boto met multiple procurement customers from Europe, the Middle East, and other regions today. It is reported that Wanda Boto showcased specialized tyres with across varios specifications of patterns from its main brands at this exhibition, as well as new technologies.
