Denmark’s Super Dæk Service acquires 9 Euromaster branches
When NDI Group recently dropped its plan to acquire Euromaster Danmark after the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority opined this would harm competition within the country’s tyre retail and service sectors, the Euromaster Group commented that its future may include “a possible new agreement with NDI” that covers “some” of its activities in Denmark. And so it is – Super Dæk Service, the tyre and workshop chain owned by NDI, has entered into an agreement to acquire nine Euromaster branches.
Effective immediately, these nine Euromaster branches will be rebranded as Super Dæk Service. The newly acquired centres include four locations in Jutland and five in Zealand. All will operate under the new name from 4 September 2023.
“We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement to acquire nine selected Euromaster branches and approximately 50 employees. We believe that through this acquisition, we can strengthen our journey towards becoming Denmark’s premier tyre and workshop chain, benefiting Danish car owners and our business customers,” states John Hornbech Christensen, chief executive officer of Super Dæk Service.
“With these nine branches, our geographical coverage becomes even better, aligning with our goal to be a nationwide tire and workshop chain with high accessibility for our customers.”
More value for customers
“Super Dæk Service extends a warm welcome to our highly skilled new employees, who bring substantial experience with them. We look forward to integrating all these new talents and competencies into our workshop chain, collaboratively creating more value for our customers and strengthening Super Dæk Service as an attractive and ambitious workplace,” says Christensen.
The 1974-founded Super Dæk Service network consisted of 71 outlets in Denmark prior to the current acquisition, including 23 that belong to the global Bosch Car Service workshop chain, and employed approximately 500 people. NDI launched its bid to acquire Euromaster Danmark and its 37 outlets in 2021.
