Autograph & Character – new names for Nokian tyres in Russia

In April, a month after its acquisition by oil and gas company Tatneft, the former Nokian Tyres operation in Russia adopted the name Ikon Tyres. The business has now taken the next step in its rebranding with the unveiling of new product names.

The plant in Vsevolozhsk, near St Petersburg, previously produced Nokian Hakka summer tyre lines and Hakkapeliitta winter tyres. Both premium seasonal ranges now share a single brand name, Ikon Autograph.

Tyres in the mid-price segment will continue to be produced currently under the name Ikon Nordman, but Ikon Tyres also intends to rename these going forward and will give them the new name Ikon Character.

Ikon Tyres produced the first tyres under the Ikon brand name at the Vsevolozhsk plant on 6 June 2023, 18 years to the day after the very first tyre was made in the facility.
