Wolf Fuder leaves Kumho; Kurban named Head of Marketing
On 31 August 2023, Wolf Fuder ended his tenure as Head of Marketing at Kumho Tire Europe, a role held since March 2007. Fuder joined the Offenbach, Germany-based subsidiary in October 2006. Ilhan Kurban will succeed Fuder. Kurban joined Kumho Tire Europe in 2021 as marketing manager; beforehand he spent seven years in a marketing position at Nexen Tire Europe.
“The years at Kumho Tire Europe GmbH were extremely interesting and varied,” comments Fuder. “We succeeded in establishing the Kumho brand in the German and European tyre market and positioning it as a high-quality product. Brand awareness has significantly increased, the products constantly improved and Kumho has developed away from a pure wholesale brand to a universally accepted brand in the tyre trade. After almost exactly 17 years, it is now time to take on a new challenge.”
Wolf Fuder began his tyre industry career in 2001 as a sales and marketing trainee at Goodyear Dunlop Tires Germany. He joined Kumho Tire Europe five years later. As for his post-Kumho plans, Fuder has not provided specific details but comments that he will probably remain within the tyre industry.
