Toyo Tires closing US auto parts operation

As an employee there for 19 1/2 years I think with certainty I can voice a truthful statement. We were told collectively not so much by upper management but through word of mouth that - Quote - “After 20 years the Japanese will indeed close the plant, or relocate or dissolve all together. I left the company 1 and 1/2 years ago as of this posting. Again we were told up front very few of the initial employees would even care to stay beyond 5 years much less 20, anyway I was 1 of the first 60 hired there I was #54 when I left I was 3 or 4 in seniority, which means nothing to this generation, and that’s one of the main reasons these companies cannot and will not survive, the foreign entities put way too much trust in Americans to run their businesses, I had to leave not because of the Japanese but because of the people they allowed to run it- they ran it alright- right down in the ground just as I knew would happen through much prayer and personal observation. 5 different plant managers, 5 different Quality managers. Here’s some advice NEVER have a quality manager and a co-quality manager! Absolutely a major mistake / I started the Asaichi Area in this plant and personally saved this company untold millions of dollars. The last co-quality manager in my opinion absolutely help to finish this company off through over inspecting, and paying 3rd party sort company’s outrageous fees for actually living there! We had a sort company there every day the last 5 years I worked there, that company thrived and this one closed because of idiotically business decisions just like this. I met some good people along the way but more bad people who were greedy and all about self. Again in 20 years I never had any trouble at all with the Japanese it was always the the horrible management American side. If your reading this - And you are Japanese or an investor remember this .- BS is just that! Put people in place that can actually do the job - not the ones who talk the job.
