Toyo Tires climbs to IFSC World Championship summit
Toyo Tires is supporting the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Championships between 1-12 August in Bern, Switzerland. The tyre-maker’s participation comes in line with its new partnership with the IFSC, announced in June. Toyo’s European CEO, Kenta Kuribayashi said that Toyo’s partnership was inspired by the sport’s growing global community, which “resonates with Toyo Tire’s philosophy” of “creativity and innovation”.
Located at the PostFinace arena in Bern, the World Championships will see champions crowned in every climbing discipline: Boulder, Lead, Speed and the combined Boulder and Lead. The culminative weekend of 11-12 August will reach a climax with the Boulder and Lead finals. The World Championships are held every two years as a standalone event outside the sport’s World Cup series, with the leading climbers and para-climbers participating. Toyo Tires branding is visible on the challenging courses, while the company is present as VIP guests.
