Sentury to start Morocco plant construction after Chinese government certification

On July 27, Sentury revealed that it expects to commence construction for its Morocco factory soon. Tyrepress China has learned that the general manager of the tyre manufacturer is “in Morocco preparing for the start of the tyre factory”.

The site of Sentury’s Morocco project is Tangier. On December 30, 2022, the tyre manufacturer announced it would invest 297 million US dollars (about £233 million; €271 million) to build a tyre factory in Morocco. After the completion of the project, it will be able to produce 6 million PCR tyres every year. In March 2023, Sentury purchased 20 hectares of land for the project.

In June 2023, the Morocco project obtained the “Notice of Overseas Investment Project Filing” and “Certificate of Enterprise Overseas Investment” issued by the Chinese government.
