NTDA reveals Tyre Industry Awards 2023 finalists

The National Tyre Distributors Association has announced the finalists in the Tyre Industry Awards 2023. The association revealed that it has received a record number of entries for this edition of the UK tyre industry’s premier awards, which will be presented at the NTDA’s 94^th Annual Dinner, sponsored by Maritime Cargo Services, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes on Thursday 19 October. The awards ceremony, sponsored by Sailun Tyres, will be hosted by television personality Jon Culshaw, with a capacity audience of 640 guests in attendance.

NTDA CEO Stefan Hay said: “To receive in excess of 70 entries this year is absolutely terrific and we are particularly delighted at the number and diversity of entries we have received for the Apprentice Tyre Technician and REACT Commercial Tyre Technician awards.

“At a time when the trade is struggling to recruit, it is encouraging to see such an outstanding line-up of professional young technicians working for NTDA members across Britain and this year they will benefit from being recognised for their excellence in front of a record number of their industry colleagues as the event has been sold out for months with 640 guests due to attend.”

In addition to the award presentations detailed below, three special award winners will be announced: the TRA (RRS) Member of the Year – sponsored by Michelin Tyre PLC; the NTDA Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Tyre Industry – sponsored by Hankook Tyre UK Ltd; and the NTDA Chief Executive’s Round and Black Award – sponsored by Snap On, recognising altruism in relation to safety, raising standards and improving the trade for others.
