Leading tyre comparison sites 2023 (UK)

In the last part of our series of analyses of the leading tyre websites in the UK, we turn our attention to the subject of tyre comparison web sites. The leading tyre comparison sites in the UK based on third-party traffic data for June 2023, found that Tyrereviews.com attracted by far the most page views. Congratulations to them for that! WhatTyre.com is second-place.

Since WhatTyre.com is owned and run by the same company that publishes Tyres & Accessories and Tyrepress.com, we have first-hand access to the traffic data for this particular site. It is worth mentioning that while WhatTyre.com attracted over 137,000 pageviews in June 2023, traffic has been consistently growing at a rate of 10-15 per cent each month this year and the site actually peaked at 160,045 in April 2023.

That June 2023 figure is 5-6 per cent above third-placed Tyrerunner.com but other sources disputed its relative position to WhatTyre.com, suggesting they should be the other way around.

Beneath these, the data tells its own story, but the third party sources couldn’t agree on the ordering of the companies. One reason is because several of the below sites are .co.uk variations of multi-country sites that also have .com variants written in English. However, most of those sites link to retail sales across borders and/or are sub-sites of international businesses, so the question is really about what constitutes a UK site.
