Halfords’ Jamison appointed to TyreSafe Steering Committee
Halfords head of marketing Morgan Jamison has been appointed to the TyreSafe Steering Committee. TyreSafe said Jamison has a “wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the importance of how safe tyres impact on road safety issues.” In his new role, the tyre safety organisation said Jamison would “play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives, fostering collaborations, and driving positive change within the industry.” He will also “play a significant role in shaping strategic initiatives, fostering collaborations, and driving positive change within the industry.” Halfords recently reached the 10-year milestone as a member of TyreSafe, which has been at the forefront of promoting tyre safety for more than two decades. It advocates for safe driving practices to ensure the wellbeing of road users through the collective effort of reducing collisions and injuries caused by defective tyres.
Stuart Lovatt, TyreSafe chair, said: “We are delighted to celebrate 10 years of partnership with Halfords, and their presence in Blackburn was vital in revealing just how significant the issue of tyre safety is locally. As we work more closely moving forward, we aim to raise awareness together on this issue across the UK.
“We are equally thrilled to welcome Morgan Jamison to our Steering Committee. His expertise and insights will be invaluable in shaping our initiatives and driving positive change within the industry.”
Morgan Jamison, commented: “It’s great to have the opportunity to contribute to TyreSafe’s important work as a member of the Steering Committee. This event demonstrates the potential scale of the problem, but more significantly, the potential difference these partnerships can make. Over the past decade, Halfords has been committed to promoting tyre safety and helping to educate road users. I’m looking forward to driving initiatives that will make our roads safer for everyone.”
Membership of TyreSafe is available for larger organisations and independent garages alike. The charity works closely with other road safety organisations to champion tyre safety within wider efforts to improve road safety.
