Established in the West Midlands in 2012, GB Tyres has reportedly become one of the fastest-growing tyre importers and exporters in Europe. Nevertheless, despite its large and growing size, the business is still family-run and puts customer service at the heart of its ethos. The business offers a wide range of commercial vehicle tyres in stock. In fact, GB Tyres boasts one of the largest stocks of commercial vehicle tyres across Europe.
Products include all the premium names you’ve heard of as well as several exclusive brands, including Advance, Challenger, Groundspeed, JK Tyre, and Samson.
In 2022, the team recently created and introduced the Aerotyre private brand to the UK market. According to the company, the product range is “already being received extremely well…”. The product range currently consists of a steer, drive and trailer tyre covering popular truck sizes. But the range is expanding, and new products will be available “in the very near future”.
The AE01-S is designed for use on the steer axle. Enhanced for smooth steering and “excellent handling performance in all conditions”, the tyre features a specially designed tread to prevent stone build-up and a 3PMSF mark to provide verified safety for all weather conditions.
Furthermore, 295/80R22.5 AE01-S 154/149M XL, 315/70R22.5 AE01-S 156/150L XL and 315/80R22.5 AE01-S 156/150L XL are all CA-rated on the European tyre label.
Designed for use on the drive axle, the Aerotyre AE01-D truck tyre is capable in all weather conditions and features both M+S 3PMSF markings. According to the company, the compound has been enhanced for durability and long mileage. It also features extra wide tread and robust blocks for increased stability and regrooving and retreading are possible for even longer tyre life.
The Aerotyre AE01-T truck tyre is designed for use on trailer axles. To that end it is optimised for “the best possible fuel efficiency, handling, and durability”. It also includes the 3PMSF marking for all-weather traction.
Challenger Tyres exclusively distributed by GB Tyres
Challenger Tyres are manufactured by JK Tyre which ranks among the Top 25 tyre manufacturers in the world. The company has 12 globally benchmarked ‘sustainable’ manufacturing facilities – 9 in India and 3 in Mexico – that collectively produce around 35 million tyres annually. The Challenger truck tyre range is available exclusively from GB Tyres in the UK.
The product line-up reportedly covers the majority of common market applications. Key tyres include the CUH2 and CDL4+.
The Challenger CUH2 is a steer axle tyre designed to provide safe performance in all conditions. The tyre includes the 3PMSF mark. Available in 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5, both sizes score highly for wet weather performance and noise levels.
The Challenger CDL4+ is a drive tyre available in 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5. It scores an excellent B rating for wet grip and provides excellent performance in all conditions. In addition, the tyre is 3PMSF compliant. The CDL4+ is also said to provide a smooth quiet driving experience with low levels of noise generated.
JK Tyre’s popular products
GB Tyres have been the exclusive distributor of JK Tyre products in the UK and parts of Europe since 2019. According to company representatives, the entire range comprises 81 separate product lines: “No matter the vehicle or the specific application the JK Tyre range will likely include a suitable product for the vehicle operators’ specific requirements.”
Popular products include the Jetsteel JDL3 and Jetsteel JDC3.
The Jetsteel JDL3 is a drive axle tyre designed to provide “excellent overall performance and superb wet traction”. Available in five popular sizes including 295/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5. JDL3 features a wide tread surface with a 6-block design for “superior pressure distribution”. The product also features innovative 3D void-generating sipes to contribute to the prevention of irregular wear as well as improving wet weather performance throughout the tyre life.
This tyre is available in sizes: 295/60R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 315/60R22.5, 315/70R22.5, and 315/80R22.5.
Jetsteel JDC3
Designed for on/off-road applications, the Jetsteel JDC3 is a tough tyre pitched at construction applications. A wide tread surface with six-block design is designed to provide “excellent pressure distribution and even tread wear”.

Samson tyres are manufactured by a global tyre producer, ranked among the top 40 tyre manufacturers in the world. The producers of Samson tyres have history in the sector going back to 1958. The Samson product range is exclusively distributed by GB Tyres in the UK and parts of Europe.
GL267D
The Samson GL267D is a drive position tyre designed for optimum tyre cost performance. Engineered for low rolling resistance, the tyre “can significantly contribute to a reduction in fuel usage”, according to the company.
