Exol takes to the Moto X track
Exol Lubricants has announced it will be sponsoring Enduro rider Kealan Harvey for 2023, as the brand looks to support young riders on the motocross track.
Sixteen-year-old Harvey’s 2023 KTM 150 Enduro bike will run on Exol’s Optima Racing Two Stroke (M124) oil and the brand’s logo will be seen on his motocross bike and racing kit.
Harvey has been riding since he was six when he received his first bike, and his love of competing in the sport began in 2020 where he rode in his first enduro event in Wales.
The young rider has kicked off this season placing ninth overall in the Welsh Open Sprint and getting consistent top tens in the Welsh Youth Hare and Hounds Championship. He also placed first in the ‘Clubman A’ at the Ben Saville Memorial event at Rogershill Raceway in Dorset.
Next up Kealan will be competing in the Weston Beach Race in September and in the ACU Southern Centre Enduro Winter Series beginning on 1st October 2023.
Harvey comments: “Most of my family and friends race enduro so it was only natural that I got into it too. I’ve had a bike since the age of six, which I rode around the field at home and after completing my first enduro event in 2020 I discovered my love for the competition.”
He adds: “Between races I go to the gym as much as possible and do football training to focus on my cardio. I also ride my bike at home and at a friend’s quarry to keep ‘bike fit’.”
Harvey discusses the importance of using a high-quality brand of oil such as Exol when racing, commenting: “Good quality oil is essential because it ensures the bike can perform at the highest level without causing engine damage. Some races are four hours long, so a good oil allows me to perform well on the track.”
