TÜV SÜD integrates Goodyear CheckPoint tyre inspection into DVS system
TÜV SÜD and Goodyear have integrated the Goodyear CheckPoint solution into the TÜV SÜD Digital Vehicle Scan (DVS) inspection system. The system uses advanced sensor technology to elevate vehicle safety and performance, making the vehicle acceptance and return process more efficient. The testing organisation says the DVS enables accurate diagnosis and timely maintenance recommendations, which can improve overall safety and efficiency. The Goodyear CheckPoint drive-over tyre inspection system reads tyre condition and vehicle parameters, sending actionable insights to fleet managers. It streamlines tyre pressure and tread depth inspection by providing automated inspections completed within seconds.
“Integrating the Goodyear CheckPoint into the TÜV SÜD Digital Vehicle Scan offering will provide users with a holistic view of their vehicle’s condition, enabling proactive maintenance and enhancing overall performance. This is consistent with our Goodyear Total Mobility offering which is all about providing worry-free mobility solutions and taking fleet management to the next level,” says Piotr Czyżyk, managing director Proactive Solutions Europe at Goodyear.
Incorporating Goodyear CheckPoint expands the scope of the TÜV SÜD DVS, offering users a detailed assessment of their vehicle’s health, including tyre conditions. Customers who choose the DVS variant equipped with Goodyear CheckPoint can benefit from a comprehensive inspection report that covers both tyre conditions and overall vehicle health. The service is particularly targeted at fleet operators or anyone invested in optimising maintenance practices. Its real-time insights can help users address maintenance needs proactively, minimise downtime, and improve operational efficiency. The integrated CheckPoint tyre inspection service also facilitates the development of predictive maintenance strategies, which can help to reduce costs and boost fleet efficiency.
“TÜV SÜD is committed to driving innovation and continuously improving its solutions to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry. This collaboration confirms our vision of advancing vehicle inspection, maintenance, and safety standards,” said Maximilian Küblbeck, CEO TÜV SÜD Auto Plus GmbH.
