New MD for Ring
Andy Gratton has been promoted to managing director at Ring Automotive, the UK subsidiary of ams OSRAM. He takes over from Theresa Spencer who leaves the company at the end of August 2023, to pursue a new challenge outside the automotive aftermarket. Gratton is currently Ring’s financial director and formally assumed the MD role as of 1 July. Theresa Spencer will remain in the business until 31 August to support the hand-over process.
In the three years Gratton has been with the company he has taken responsibility for a number of areas outside of his FD remit, including purchasing & supply chain plus one of the sales divisions. This gives him an in-depth understanding of the business and importantly its people, customers and suppliers. He will be responsible for leading Ring through its next phase of growth and development as well supporting ams OSRAM to reach its strategic goals.
Gratton commented, “I feel privileged to have the opportunity to support the Ring team as we drive forwards in delivering the company strategy. With such a strong and passionate team, backed by the ams-OSRAM group, we are well positioned to continue our positive momentum in both our traditional and emerging markets.”
With Gratton stepping up into the MD role, he has appointed Scott Page to take on the role of finance director, assuming responsibility for finance, IT & business services.
