Japan launch for Bridgestone B-select
Bridgestone is introducing the B-select retail concept in its home market of Japan. Around 700 company-owned and exclusive Bridgestone retailers have joined the B-select B2C network, while within the commercial segment some 400 B-select stores will be operating by the end of the year.
The B-select concept debuted in Australia in 2005 after the local Bridgestone operation conducted a large-scale customer survey and realised that many customers highly value comfort and convenience when it comes to tyre service. Bridgestone has since expanded B-select to other markets in the region, including New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Announcing the network’s launch in Japan, Bridgestone says B-select will make tyre purchases more convenient while improving tyre safety and reducing environmental impact.
Plans are already in place to expand the B-select retail network from 700 sites in Japan to more than 1,000. The 400-strong network for transportation customers currently being rolled out will grow to more than 500 centres in future.
