Heuver distributing Nokian agri, industrial tyres in France
Heuver Tyres is now a co-distributor of Nokian agricultural and industrial tyres in France. Nokian Heavy Tyres previously serviced the French market solely via wholesaler Sonamia, however Pierre Choubert, business manager at Nokian Tyres, explains that developments in the industrial tyre market and changes in the existing partner network mean Nokian could not remain with a single distribution model.
“Our product portfolio has expanded massively over the past five years and will continue to expand in the near future as well,” says Choubert. “At the same time, our customers have increased demands for service, technical advice and rapid response. These changes had to be accompanied by a redesign of our distribution model.”
Nokian Heavy Tyres is confident that its “two powerful partners” will ensure a stronger presence and customer service network in France for years to come. “With the experience and the service level of our historical distributor Sonamia and the arrival of Heuver Group, we have found the perfect combination to improve our presence on the French market,” comments Choubert. “We also found similar values in these perfectly structured family companies, which made it possible to build this agreement on solid foundations which are a guarantee of future success for our respective groups.”
Big step forward
Heuver Tyres has been active in France since 2009 with its own sales team, and this dedicated team has grown over the years. With agricultural specialists recently joining, the team for France now consists of 12 people.
“With the addition of the Nokian Tyres brand to our range, we are convinced that we can now take a big step forward in the area of agriculture in France,” says Laura van den Heuvel, director sales at Heuver Tyres.
The Netherlands-based wholesaler has also operated its own warehouse in France since 2015 and recently moved to a larger facility in Lyon. “By increasing storage capacity, we can keep even more tyres in stock and the range that we can deliver from Lyon increases,” adds van den Heuvel.
Nokian Heavy Tyres also recently announced that RH Claydon has joined Nordic Tyres as a distributor in the UK.
