Gaboriaud named Michelin representative on Enviro board
Fabien Gaboriaud is Michelin’s new representative on the Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) board. Gaboriaud, who is senior vice president Sustainable Materials and Circularity at Michelin, expresses pride in his new assignment and considers his appointment to the board evidence of the tyre maker’s very strong commitment to Enviro.
Gaboriaud joined Michelin in 2009 and has more than 40 years of combined experience in materials research. Since 2017 he has been material research director with the responsibility to develop material related innovations for tyre applications and for the new high-tech materials division, in particular within the domains of sustainable materials, hydrogen, medical and flexible composites. On 1 July 2023 he began his current role within the high-tech materials division, taking responsibility for coordinating and orchestrating the company’s internal and external strategies in the area.
Speaking about his new board remit with Enviro, Gaboriaud says: “I don’t take a board position to fail but will put all my energy into this. I am a distinctly competitive person who does not want to follow. My goal is to help with my skills to develop the right strategy and to help Enviro to win.”
