Targa Telematics appoints Henning Wiefelspuetz head of OEM business integration
Connected mobility company Targa Telematics has appointed Henning Wiefelspuetz as its head of OEM business integration. Wiefelspuetz will report directly to Alberto Falcione, VP sales, and will be responsible for Targa Telematics’ strategy, which aims to develop relationships and business with the OEM ecosystem in the connected car sector. Data collection and homogenisation to increase its usability across platforms is seen as the key to unlocking increasingly sophisticated systems in the developing future mobility segment.
Henning Wiefelspuetz has significant experience in this sector, having been senior director of business development for Otonomo at its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. He has also held roles of increasing responsibility companies such as Webfleet, Garmin, Continental, Siemens VDO Automotive and Philips Car Systems.
“The relationship with OEMs is moving increasingly in the direction of us providing new connected mobility services developed through the flow of data from vehicles, in complete security and with full respect for privacy,” commented Alberto Falcione, VP sales at Targa Telematics. “In this framework, Henning Wiefelspuetz’s contribution will be crucial not only to develop new partnerships, but also for further strengthening our synergies with vehicle manufacturers such as as Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini and, more recently, Ford, with whom we have signed important partnerships in recent months under the banner of global data integration. We are focusing on developing [Internet of Things] solutions and digital platforms for connected mobility, collecting, integrating, and analysing car data from each automaker, and on simplifying the adoption of telematics technologies.”
