Road Transport Expo debut for Laufenn LF95
Hankook Tire is expanding its Laufenn portfolio with the LF95, a trailer tyre it has designed to deliver “impressive mileage” in regional haul applications and various road conditions. This latest product from Hankook’s second-line brand is available in a regroovable size 385/65R22.5.
“With the LF95, we’re addressing the needs of small and medium-sized companies, offering them a tyre with an excellent price-performance ratio which is designed for high fuel efficiency and durability,” says Guy Heywood, Vice President Marketing Strategy Truck and Bus at Hankook Tire Europe. “Our customers benefit from the brand’s many years of experience and get a product which meets the highest quality standards.”
According to Hankook, the Laufenn LF95’s key features are a wide tread and deep tread grooves, with the pattern delivering “outstanding traction and water drainage under a wide range of road conditions.” It adds that the tyre’s shoulders – Hankook refers to these as “wide” and “sturdy” – contribute to high mileage, reduce uneven tread wear and help to improve grip and stability. Stone Ejection Technology is present in the tread grooves to prevent sharp objects from lodging, reducing the likelihood of punctures. Rolling resistance is low too, adds Hankook.
The LF95 carries the M+S and 3PMSF markings, indicating its suitability for cold conditions.
Hankook Tire will publicly debut Laufenn LF95 at this month’s Road Transport Expo at the NAEC in Stoneleigh. Laufenn has been in the market since 2015, its truck line-up primarily targeting smaller and medium-sized fleet partners that “value the reliability and product quality of an established premium tyre manufacturer.”
