Maxam Tire expands construction radial range
Further strengthening its portfolio for the construction industry, Maxam Tire has added four all-steel radial patterns to its construction tyre line-up. Introducing the MS901R, MS906R, MS907R, and MS917R, Maxam Tire says the quartet deliver the “superior advantages required for skid steer, backhoe, and compact wheel loader applications.”
With the stated aims of providing the hours, traction, ride comfort, and lowest cost of ownership that operators desire, Maxam says it has “developed an industry-leading multipurpose radial programme.” Expanding on this theme, Maxam shares that it produces the MS901R, MS906R, MS907R, and MS917R with an all-steel radial construction to “deliver superior performance compared to the standard bias series.” The company credits this radial construction with reducing flats by 80 per cent compared to bias or cross-ply tyres, while delivering three to four times more usable tread life.
Designed with steel belts, Maxam says the radial programme offers additional protection from punctures, reducing the threat of downtime and lowering the cost of ownership. Featuring an aggressive R4 tread pattern, the MS901R and the MS906R are built to provide high traction no matter the conditions. The MS907R delivers an extra-deep L5 tread pattern to handle rough and rocky terrains while also ensuring a long tyre life. Lastly, the MS917R L4 deep block-style tread pattern provides users with a tough and reliable tyre.
Reducing the threat of downtime
Maxam has specifically developed this series with durable sidewalls and tread compounds, maximising wear and cut resistance to result in a longer tyre life. Built to reduce the threat of downtime, the series features a reinforced bead that directs the sidewall deflection away from the rim, decreasing tire damage and protecting the tyre from impacts.
“The construction industry demands more out of a tyre than ever before,” says Jimmy McDonnell, vice president of sales, Maxam Tire North America. “We built the all-new line-up of multipurpose radial tyres to meet these demands and further prove our commitment to advancing our construction solutions. Operators will receive a stronger, more reliable solution that allows crews to achieve more on their daily jobs.”
