CL Tyres buys Fork Truck Tyres

Fast-growing industrial tyres business, CL Tyres Ltd has bought Fork Truck Tyres Ltd. Founded in July 2019 by Steve Donnithorne, CL Tyres Ltd experienced 10-fold growth in its first three years of business. The acquisition of Manchester-based Fork Truck Tyres by Midlands-based CL Tyres, which also runs centres in locations including Hull and Washington, suggests a national expansion plan.
Official documents filed at Companies House suggest that CL Tyres became a 75 per cent or greater shareholder in Fork Truck Tyres Ltd on 22 May 2023.
Fork Truck Tyres founder John Grey left the business on 22 May and CL Tyres founder Steve Donnithorne was appointed director the same day. Tyres & Accessories undertands that the company’s industrial tyre centres are now part of the wider CL Tyres operation.
On that point, in a post on social media CL Tyres welcomed “two depots” in “Manchester and Barnsley”, adding: “CL Tyres Ltd are proud to announce the acquisition of Fork Truck Tyres Ltd.” cja
