TyreSafe joins National Road Safety Committee

TyreSafe now sits on the National Road Safety Committee, run by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) as part of its ongoing wider strategy to increase the awareness of tyre safety. RoSPA’s National Road Safety Committee is a UK-focused network working towards a vision of zero deaths and serious injuries on our roads. It is the principal RoSPA advisory committee on matters of road safety.

TyreSafe will work with RoSPA to provide tyre safety resources and campaign materials to support its delivery of road safety initiatives to help reduce accidents.

The partnership also sees RoSPA joining TyreSafe as an official supporter, with the accompanying access to campaign materials via the website. These materials have been created by TyreSafe through research and collaboration.

TyreSafe Chair, Stuart Lovatt, is also now a regular contributor to RoSPA’s ‘Care on the Road’ publication, to further increase the reach of the partnership. He said: “This is a truly valuable partnership for both organisations, who have shared values in raising awareness of risk and reducing it through driving behaviour change. We look forward, as an organisation, to providing valuable input as part of this committee and also in the wider context of helping and supporting people with staying safe. With so many adults using vehicles for work and leisure, we believe this partnership is integral in reducing preventable accidents.”

RoSPA is a not-for-profit organisation that has worked for more than 100 years to help people recognise and reduce their risk of accidents, at home, on the road, at work and at leisure. RoSPA’s Road Safety department produces a vast array of advice and information on all areas of road safety and accident prevention. It takes the same holistic and all-encompassing approach to road safety, providing information and support for road users and pedestrians.
