Nankang a Nürburgring advertising partner
Future visitors to the Nürburgring Nordschleife will see 87 metres of Nankang branding in the ‘Breidscheid’ area. The Taiwanese tyre maker has initially signed up as an advertising partner at the Nürburgring until the end of 2025.
Nankang Rubber Tire says it has been “actively researching and developing” performance tyres since 2012 and during the past decade has expanded into motorsport events around the world. It launched the Nankang AR-1 semi-slick tyre in 2017 and says this achieved “many impressive records and results” in races within Europe, America, and Japan. Nankang followed the AR-1 up with a new generation of semi-slick tyres in 2022 and comments that this CR-S range “quickly caught the attention and discussion of racing enthusiasts worldwide.”
According to the tyre maker, Nankang CR-S draws upon “new R&D capabilities and manufacturing technology” to result in a product that “comprehensively enhances” tyre performance. Nankang adds that since launching CR-S it has “entered the top tier performance tyre rankings” in racing markets in Taiwan, Japan, and North America. “Both racers and enthusiasts are amazed by the extreme sports performance and driving experience brought by CR-S from Taiwan,” comments the manufacturer.
The Nürburgring connection dates to 2016, when Nankang began conducting vehicle tyre tests at the German circuit. The tyre maker states that both the AR-1 and CR-S were “born during the demanding track testing.” Nankang also collaborates with Apex Nürburgring, allowing visitors to the Nürburgring track to take in the circuit at speed on Nankang tyres.
