Key appointments aiding growth at Ascenso Tyres CE
Ascenso Tyres CE GmbH, the subsidiary of Mahansaria Tyres Private Limited (MPTL) formerly known as European Agriculture Tyre Distributors (EATD), reports a successful first quarter 2023. The company states that MPTL co-founder and managing director Yogesh Mahansaria’s vision of generating sales of 50 million euros with Ascenso Tyres CE within five years is “thus gaining momentum.”
The business serves as exclusive importer for the Ascenso tyre brand in Central Europe, supplying customers with direct containers as well as stock from its 6,000 square metre warehouse space in Wallenhorst, Germany. “We are positively surprised that our business with Ascenso far exceeds expectations,” says Marcel Führer, sales manager at Ascenso Tires CE, “To a certain extent, this is also the result of a good strategy by the manufacturer MTPL, who produced 500 sizes within two years.”
With the Ascenso brand, the distributor believes it can supply its customers with a “profitable and cost-conscious” product. Ascenso Tires CE – the CE standing for Central Europe – also views its selection of “strong regional wholesalers” backed up by its own sales experts as a “guarantee of success,” and in recent times has made key additions to its workforce.
“In order to ensure further growth, we have further strengthened the team,” comments Matthias Lüttschwager, managing director of Ascenso Tyres CE. On 1 March 2023, Pawel Kopinski from Poland took over responsibility for the business in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia to support Marcel Führer. Olaf Sandeck has also joined the company from Mitas and from 1 April is focusing on expanding original equipment business. “Details on this will follow,” adds Lüttschwager.
Ascenso Tyres CE will announce further additions to its team in due course; the distributor will appoint an industry expert to look after OEM 1 business “in consultation with the manufacturer.”
