Jiao Jian named president of Sinochem Holdings

Sinochem Holdings, which through its subsidiaries plays a major role in Pirelli, Aeolus Tyre and Prometeon Tyre Group, has a new president. The appointment of Jiao Jian was confirmed at an enlarged executive meeting on 31 March 2023 by the leaders of the organisation department within the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee.

As Sinochem Holdings announced on 1 April, “comrades heading relevant bureaus announced the decision of the central government” regarding the appointment: Jiao Jian becomes director, president, and deputy secretary of the Leading Party Group of Sinochem Holdings, and at the same time relinquishes his position as vice president and Leading Party Group member of state-owned mineral trading company China Minmetals Corporation.
