BKT debuts Multiforce track range for industrial & construction applications
BKT entered the tractor rubber track business last November with the launch of its Agriforce BK T71 and comments that it “immediately scored a great success” with this product. The Indian tyre and track maker is now expanding its rubber track portfolio to include a new product line for industrial and construction applications and will market this under the Multiforce name.
The first industrial track pattern is Multiforce BK T91, a product designed for compact track loaders (CTL) in material-handling applications. BKT shares that BK T91 is “ready to be launched on international markets in the coming weeks.”
Introducing Multiforce, BKT speaks of tracks that are “designed to withstand harsh conditions, especially on difficult surfaces such as aggressive asphalt, mud, rocks, debris and rough terrain.” The new series is made of abrasion-and-wear-resistant materials to ensure a long product life but at the same time provide a “comfortable and safe ride to operators,” thereby reducing fatigue and vibration-related problems.
Multiforce BK T91 is the “perfect product to be fitted on compact track loaders employed in harsh operating conditions.” BKT points to specific features such as tread made of a “high-performance compound” that offers “maximum resistance against cuts, tears, and abrasion” – factors it identifies as having the greatest influence on durability and product performance.
The compound formulation “combines unique resistance features and extraordinary durability” to ensure the track’s suitability for daily usage in rough industrial environments. In addition, Multiforce BK T91 is reinforced with high-tensile steel cords to minimise downtime and maintenance costs arising from the replacement of worn tracks.
Aggressive tread pattern
As for the tread pattern, BKT describes this as an “aggressive, C-shaped” configuration with a high number of edges that “provide extraordinary grip” and “top traction performance.” As a result, the manufacturer considers BK T91 particularly suitable for a variety of surface conditions on and off the road, such as clay, mud, asphalt, gravel, and sand.
According to BKT, a further Multiforce BK T91 feature of note is its “extraordinary and precise handling performance even in narrow spaces without compromising goods or the surrounding environment” – a “crucial factor for all material-handling operations” that results in enhanced operating efficiency and increased productivity. “The new Multiforce BK T91, indeed, enables operators to do their job more rapidly in full safety even under extreme and demanding service conditions,” adds BKT.
Long product lifecycle
Summarising its new CTL track, BKT describes Multiforce BK T91 as a “reliable partner that significantly reduces equipment replacement costs by ensuring a long product lifecycle.” The manufacturer comments that it has always concerned itself with product lifecycle, and this is something that is now also becoming increasingly important in terms of sustainability.
“Wherever the needs for innovation, attention to user requirements and research go hand in hand, BKT is promptly ready for and at the forefront of finding new advanced solutions. A role model when it comes to creating a direct dialogue with users, as well as synergies between supply and demand.”
Multiforce BK T91 is currently available in five sizes: 450 x 86 x 52, 450 x 86 x 55, 450 x 86 x 56, 450 x 86 x 58, 450 x 86 x 60.
