Triangle EffeXSport UHP tyre achieves labelling ‘milestone’ for manufacturer
Triangle Tyre’s new ultra-high performance tyre, the EffeXSport TH202 has achieved a milestone in the Chinese manufacturer’s development of greatly improved products targeting growth in the UK and wider European markets. The tyre has achieved the top A-grade rating for wet grip on the European tyre label on more than half of its size range. Triangle unveiled the new flagship product at The Tire Cologne 2022 in preparation for its European market introduction in 2023. It said that its latest advanced technologies had allowed Triangle to bridge the trade-off between performance and comfort, developing a tyre with “excellent results” in dry and wet braking, driving precision, stability at high speed, and wear resistance.
The new Triangle EffeXSport is a modern asymmetric tyre with four wide longitudinal grooves to minimise aquaplaning and additional diagonal elements to improve water evacuation from the tread. The tyre profile provides an optimised footprint and together with large, rigid blocks, it improves high speed handling and braking capabilities.
The EffeXSport ultra high-performance compound is the result of Triangle’s latest research and development combined with the experience collected from its predecessor, the SporteX TH201. The tyre is designed to maximise grip across varied driving conditions. Triangle’s longitudinal groove mute-technology also ensures a high level of acoustic comfort, making the EffeXSport a very pleasant tyre to drive.
Triangle’s improving tyre technology
Mirco Spiniella, business development director of Triangle Tyre Europe, says: “We are extremely proud to introduce our EffeXSport TH202 in the European market. It represents the latest development of our Generation X products and will be able to excel in overall performance [while scoring] the highest label values in the wet.
“The first wave of the EffeXSport product line up, made of 54 sizes ranging from 16” to 20” inches, is already available. The range will then be completed within the year with the addition of a further 50 sizes.”
Triangle Tyre states that its main commitment is to “provide consumers with best quality tyres able to guarantee safety while meeting their driving expectations and needs.” Its smart, industry 4.0 factory in China has enabled Triangle to attain a new level of manufacturing technology, accelerating the transition towards products that it says will gradually increase its global market position and favourably compete with competitors.
This is why Triangle sees the EffeXSport’s label rating achievement as a milestone, and confirmation that it is hitting its targets in terms of higher performance levels.
“Triangle is only at the beginning of a journey which will lead the Company to achieve a stable position among the best tyre manufacturers,” Spiniella adds.
Triangle signed an exclusive distribution agreement for its light vehicle tyre products with Great Britain’s largest wholesaler Stapletons Tyre Services in 2022. The EffeXSport was previewed during its UK dealer event at PalmerSport in September.
