MatraX Tyres extends range to commercial segment
One year on from its entrance into light vehicle tyre markets, Portugal’s Grupo Alves Bandeira has extended its MatraX tyre range to commercial vehicle segments. The initial MatraX TBR range incorporates 14 patterns and 30 sizes produced at “a technological advanced international tyre building facility.” The new patterns offer a comprehensive range of fitments across axles and applications.
The MatraX S1520 medium and long-haul tyre features an advanced pattern with built-in stone ejector with a shoulder rib design for increased rigidity and extended service life. The S1520 will be available in size 315/80R22.5.
The MatraX AT200 pattern is best suited to a mixture of short and long road surfaces. The tyre offers wear resistance and durability with an advanced block pattern. The AT200 will be available in five size options from 11R22.5 to 315/70R22.5.
The MatraX SA405 is built for high wear resistance. Its shoulder design enhances anti-wear performance, reducing irregular tread wear. Additional benefits include increased driving stability, drainage, low noise levels and reduced fuel consumption. The SA405 will be available in size 12.00R24.
The MatraX AT205 drive tyre is optimised for handling performance in regional applications. Its rugged tread also offers low wear, while the tread block design reduces rolling resistance, promoting fuel efficiency. The AT205 pattern will be initially available in two sizes, 295/80R22.5 and 315/80R22.5
Available in size 9.5R17.5, the MatraX S1530 provides a wide shoulder design for increased tread wear and superior traction in the wet.
The 13R22.5-W MatraX CL600 tyre is best suited for short and medium distance haulage work on and off-highway. The extra thick carcass structure promotes durability.
The MatraX S1540 includes a shoulder rib design to reinforce rigidity, leading to superior traction and service life. It is also designed for steering performance, abrasion resistance, reduced heat build-up, and good stone ejection performance to reduce tread damage.
The MatraX CL610 tyre incorporates a large horizontal tread pattern for increased strength and improved grip. An extra-strong structure improves overloading and anti-cutting performance whilst a tear resistant and wear resistant formula design gives excellent puncture resistance levels. The CL610 will be available in size 7.50/16LT.
