Is Continental about to launch the AllSeasonContact 2?
At the end of last year, it emerged that Continental is planning to introduce a new car tyre this year. Because both Continental’s WinterContact TS 870 and WinterContact TS 870 P are young in terms of product cycle, and because the SportContact 7 and PremiumContact 7 are also new on the block, the new tyre is likely to be a successor to the AllSeasonContact. And our eagle-eyed German colleagues have once again found evidence that supports this theory.
The AllSeasonContact was introduced in 2017 and therefore already has a few years under its belt. In addition, other manufacturers who have been pushing into the relatively young year-round category have long since started a second generation of their products. Michelin, for example, with the CrossClimate 2 and Pirelli with the Cinturato All Season SF2. Continental, however, has not officially confirmed anything.
Nevertheless, the AllSeasonContact 2 is already listed in many online shops – sometimes even with pictures, on which this can be seen as a slightly modified profile design of the new compared to the original AllSeasonContact. So, doesn’t seem like it will be long before the second generation of all-weather tyres from the Continental brand will roll into local markets.
