Yokohama adding 100,000 tyre capacity to Mie plant

Yokohama has announced plans to add 100,000 tyres-worth of production capacity to its existing factory in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.

Yokohama representatives haven’t revealed how much the company will invest in the expansion project. Still, it will be targeted at expanding the production of truck and bus tyres including tyres for light trucks.

Yokohama’s Mie tyre production facility covers an area of 264,000m2, employs over 1200 workers and makes car, truck and bus tyres.
