Toyo Tires names Colin Pears MD of UK operation

On 1 April 2023 Colin Pears, currently Sales Operation Manager at Toyo Tyre (UK) Ltd., will take over as Managing Director of the tyre maker’s UK subsidiary. He begins in this role on the date that Teppei Shigeno ends his tenure as President of Toyo Tyre (UK).

Pears has over ten years of experience at Toyo Tires, having joined the company in 2012. His current responsibilities include key account management of some of Toyo Tires’ strategic partners as well as overseeing the operational requirements of a growing sales company.

Kenta Kuribayashi, President of parent company Toyo Tire Holdings of Europe commented on the appointment: “We are excited to welcome Colin as the new Managing Director to take the company forward. The inauguration of a European factory will revitalise the business model of Toyo Tyre (UK) and having the right leadership is key to taking full advantage of the opportunities this brings.”
