Peter Cawson heading Ceat Specialty’s UK/Ireland business
Ceat Specialty has appointed Peter James Cawson to lead the company’s growing business in the UK and Ireland. The new Business Development Specialist brings with him 16 years of tyre industry experience, most recently at Michelin, where he served as a territory business manager.
“I am honoured to be associated with Ceat Specialty, a company that truly embodies the principle of delivering exceptional quality at accessible prices,” states Cawson. “The company’s competitive edge in the global market is rooted in their focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. I am excited to be a part of the team that continues to push the boundaries of excellence in the industry.”
“We at Ceat Specialty are committed to delivering high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” adds Amit Tolani, chief executive of Ceat Specialty. “With Peter James Cawson onboard, we are confident that we can continue to grow and expand our footprint in the UK and Ireland market, and ultimately across Europe.”
Growing agricultural capacity
Ceat Specialty manufactures tyres for agricultural, mining, earthmoving, industrial and construction applications. The off-highway subsidiary increased its production capacity for agricultural radial tyres by 50 percent in 2022 to meet the growing demand for these products in Europe and elsewhere. Over the coming two years it will further raise production capacity for agricultural radials by 55 tonnes a day.
Parent company Ceat Ltd. sells tyres in more than 115 countries around the world and in recent times has worked to build up its passenger and commercial ranges in markets such as the UK. Ceat appointed Phil Bradley as the brand’s UK business development manager last year.
