Michelin China opens new Shanghai HQ

On 20 February 2023, Michelin held the opening ceremony for its new China headquarters office building in Shanghai. Joan Valadou, Consul General of France in Shanghai, Ye Fei, President of Michelin China, and others attended the event. The new headquarters of Michelin China is located in Changning District, started construction in September 2022 and was completed in January 2023.

According to Michelin, the new headquarters have been developed around the “All Sustainable” strategy, which is based on the constant search for the right balance between “People, Planet and Profit”, aiming to create a more collaborative, more digital, more diverse and more sustainable office environment for employees. The tyre maker believes that changing the office environment can help employees implement new ways of working, drive changes in thinking and behaviour, and help Michelin achieve its business goals.

In 1989, Michelin entered the Chinese market. On 2 February 2023, the Shanghai authorities awarded the tyre company a commemorative plaque of “A company headquartered in Shanghai with 20 years of development”. In addition to its headquarters in Shanghai, Michelin has three factories in China.
