Iochpe-Maxion joins UN Global Compact
Automotive wheel and structural components manufacturer Iochpe-Maxion has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible sustainability business practices.
Announcing its alignment with the platform, Iochpe-Maxion describes the UN Global Compact as “a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and to act in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
“Iochpe-Maxion is proud to join thousands of other companies committed to taking responsible business action to create a more sustainable world,” says Marcos de Oliveira, chief executive officer and president of Iochpe-Maxion. “Not only is the UN Global Compact in line with our own business goals and core values, but we also believe it is imperative that all businesses and organisations act ambitiously to solve the sustainable development challenges facing our planet. Joining the UN Global Compact strengthens our mission.”
