EV tyres for global markets coming soon – ZC Rubber
ZC Rubber has launched a line of passenger car tyres developed for electric vehicles. Initially available only in the tyre maker’s home market of China, EV Pro products feature “notably reduced rolling noise” and “increased fuel efficiency” as well as “improved grip performance” for EVs. The tyre maker says it will soon introduce more EV tyre options for global markets.
All tyres in the EV Pro range feature Zuper Silent technology, ZC Rubber’s solution that “effectively reduces tyre noise” through a combination of an “all-season noise-absorbing compound, three-dimensional silent bolts, and a special soundproof chamber.” The tyre maker speaks of a nearly 2dB reduction in tyre noise at 60-80km/h when compared with similar products.
Then there’s BPOT technology, with which EV Pro delivers “excellent handling” at high speeds thanks to a five per cent larger contact area, while Mixing Technology provides “optimised grip and stability.” Enhancing mileage and reducing rolling resistance are the respective prerogatives of Gen II Hybrid Silane and DMOT design theory.
ZC Rubber hasn’t forgotten the tyre’s appearance, either. A velvet sidewall design gives the tyre “a more luxurious overall design aesthetic,” making the EV Pro a “delight for the eyes.”
Breakthrough product
“EV Pro represents a breakthrough for ZC Rubber, a crucial step towards delivering solutions suitable for electric vehicles. This also shows our commitment to sustainable mobility in the future through extending tyre life, improving fuel economy and utilising eco-friendly materials,” states ZC Rubber.
EV Pro tyres debut as part of ZC Rubber’s core Chaoyang brand, and as such come to market under the Ariusun 1 name, the moniker Chaoyang gives to products belonging to the tyre maker’s ‘flagship’ range. Announcing the launch of EV Pro, the manufacturer points out its “extensive experience” in developing tyres for electric vehicles, having previously optimised its existing OEM tyres for EVs produced by leading Chinese vehicle manufacturers such as BYD, XPeng and Geely.
