TyreXpo Asia ‘sold out’ – exhibitor waitlist
With the first post-pandemic TyreXpo Asia getting underway in a little over two months’ time, the organiser of the B2B tyre trade show shares that it can “no longer guarantee floorspace” due to overwhelming demand. It has therefore begun a waitlist for exhibitors who wish to be present when TyreXpo Asia takes place at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre on 8 to 10 March.
According to Tarsus Group, the 2023 event – the first held since 2019 – is seeing a “significant increase in exhibitors from Europe and Asia,” with a surge in bookings due to pent-up demand and reduced international travel over the last three years. “The industry is eager to meet face-to-face and wants to do business again,” comments Alwin Seow, project director TyreXpo Asia. “With international travel restrictions still in place in some countries. TyreXpo Asia 2023 Singapore offers a cost-effective and efficient way to meet the entire industry in a single trip.”
Increased exhibition space
More than 6,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event, with visitors from across the world able to meet key suppliers and brands and see products first-hand. Tarsus Group comments that the global tyre industry “is throwing its weight behind the event,” and as evidence notes that Evergreen Tire is increasing its space by 40 per cent, whilst Transamerica Tire is participating for the first time with 180 square metres of exhibition space. Apart from China, the largest exhibitors present will be from Southeast Asia as well as Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey, with all countries increasing their space by 20 per cent on their pre-covid participation.
Whilst exhibitors will welcome thousands of buyers from around the globe during the three-day event, TyreXpo Asia will also feature a hosted buyer programme, hosting the top 100 buyers to facilitate meetings and accelerate trade.
