Bridgestone tyres OE on Toyota bZ4X
The Toyota bZ4X is the first model in Toyota’s planned bZ (beyond Zero) range of all-electric vehicles, and the crossover SUV, which is produced in Japan and China, is now being sold in global markets. The UK-spec car is available with 18- or 20-inch rims as standard, and Toyota has selected Bridgestone as original equipment supplier for both. According to information published by Toyota (GB), the entry-level Toyota bZ4X Pure and mid-range bZ4X Motion are equipped with Bridgestone Alenza 001 tyres in 235/60 R18 103 H, while the top-of-the-range bZ4X Vision comes with the Alenza 001 as standard in 235/50 R20 104 V XL.
Original equipment tyres differ from market to market, and Hankook Tire reports that it has supplied original equipment tyres to bZ4X models sold in China since June 2022. The tyre in question is the Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 ev, and the bZ4X is wearing this in China in both aforementioned sizes. “Having previously been chosen as the OE provider for Toyota’s 2018 Camry and 2020 Corolla, we are thrilled to forge ahead on our valued partnership with Toyota for the company’s first all-electric vehicle in China,” says Heonjoon Kim, vice-president and director of Global OE Innovation Headquarters at Hankook Tire.
