Shandong tyre companies implement closed-loop management
Shandong Province, one of the leading tyre production areas in China, is once again affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. On December 1, there were 41 new confirmed cases and 623 asymptomatic infections in this area. To ensure production can continue, two tyre companies have announced the implementation of closed-loop management.
On November 28, Zhongyi Rubber, located in Guangrao, Dongying, said it would implement closed-loop management. The tyre company requires all commuters living outside Guangrao County to apply for temporary dormitories in the factory to prevent commuting across counties. At the same time, commuters living in Guangrao County can achieve “company-family” point-to-point commuting.
The company also asked the business department to refuse customers visiting the factory to prevent the epidemic. Meanwhile, Zhongyi Rubber also made detailed arrangements for the personnel and vehicles entering the factory to ensure production, delivery, and construction. The more stringent requirement is “after the vehicles that are not under closed-loop management enter the factory area, it is necessary to ensure that the people accompanying the vehicles are not allowed to get out of the vehicles.”
Yinbao Tyre is located in Shouguang, Weifang. On November 29, the tyre company issued a similar announcement to Zhongyi Rubber.
It can be seen from the two companies’ announcements that the closed-loop management this time is different from the past. Enterprises that implemented closed-loop management before did not distinguish whether employees were local residents but required all of them to live in the factory. A person who has experienced the factory’s closed-loop management said that at that time, the local authority implemented the lockdown policy for the entire area, and even employees living near the factory could not normally commute due to the interruption of traffic. During this closed-loop management period, employees in the same county as the factory could commute “company-family”, indicating that the traffic in the area is still operating. In addition, some employees can go home, relieving the pressure on companies to arrange accommodation to a certain extent.
